Matthew made his Euro Nascar debut at the weekend racing on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit all whilst also racing the TVR Tuscan in the Bernie V8 series.
In the TVR he had a dream weekend with pole, fastest lap and race win - the big triple!
On his debut in the Euro Nascar series his results were:
Qualifying: 19th out of 29
Race 1: 19th -> 13th before I was hit and required pit lane assistance finishing 22nd
Race 2: 16th -> 7th before being taken out twice at clearways by the same person. Finished 20th.
After Matthew said "It's bee so enjoyable despite the disappointments. I turned up on Friday, in a new team, new car and just got on with it upsetting the apple cart. A massive thank you to @racingfuel_motorsport for having me, they made me so welcome. Big shout out to @lilac_rik firstly for taking my feedback and giving me a great race car; also for putting up with me over the radio. My awesome spotter @se_spe never had one before and he was brilliant in keeping me out of trouble. Great to meet and share the car with @christophlenz58. Great to meet @alinaloibnegger_racing and @cokletzer let’s hope we can all be teammates again. Thanks @carlabelle.ch for keeping me on the straight and narrow, easier said than done! Let’s try and get out in this series again."
